Have you ever become so bored with everything being homogenised that the only way to escape it was to create an alternate universe? No? Me either! However, Breaking Guitars has been designed as an alternate community space for guitarists, which is nearly the same thing. You’ll find weekly articles that offer unique takes on guitar-centric topics and the future Podcast and YouTube integration will create an immersive experience for you.

Break the rules. Find your identity.
Breaking Guitars is for the curious, the uninhibited experimentalists, and the non-conformists. Breaking Guitars has been created for the community of guitarists who make their own rules, whether out of contempt for tradition, or just because they wanna. Maybe a little sprinkle of both? At any rate, finding your identity (or niche) as a guitarist is the best thing you can do. And the best way to create an identity is to disregard everything that came before while simultaneously borrowing everything in existence. Like, for real, do you want to sound like yourself or sound like someone else? Personally, I would prefer my guitars to emulate strangled cats making a reverse-charge call from a small outback payphone than replicate everyone else’s guitar tone… but that’s just me. So, if you feel uninspired, you’ve come to the right place.

TL;DR
Part pop-culture, part misguided experiments, all self-identity, Breaking Guitars is your essential lifestyle website for all things guitars. Because we don't just play guitar, we live guitar. Aside from focusing on all the insanely great female guitarists as our mood board inspo, there will be articles of a more general nature, covering guitar gear reviews, how to fix things (check out the Lab Coats section), and a good old chat with women who are doing cool things that we want to do as well. The audio podcast launches later in 2022, with some special guests for the premiere episode. Buckle up, fam, it’s gonna be epic!
